Leftover Steak Recipes - Some Great Ideas For Leftover Steak
Here are some leftover steak recipes for when you have some leftover steak (either cooked or uncooked).Steak is one of my favourite meals, so it's not often I have some leftover. Most commonly, it's after a barbecue when I've have some family and friends over. Sandwiches Just like with
leftover roast beef
leftover steak is great for lunchtime sandwiches. They go really well with things like lettuce and tomato, but you can also have them just with a little mustard or horseradish. You can also heat the meat up a little first, as this will make it nice and juicy. You could even have them on toasted bread with some fried onions and ketchup for a great steak sandwich. Pasta Meat If you only have a little leftover steak, you could try slicing it thinly and using it is a simple pasta dish. Just boil up some pasta of your choice (or use some leftover spaghetti or other pasta you may have), and fry up some onions, garlic and butter. If the steak is uncooked, fry it until it's cooked. If it's already cooked, put it in at the last minute to heat it though, then combine with the drained pasta. Simple and delicious! You could go a step further and add some tinned tomatoes to the mix as well. A little variation is to coat the slices of steak in flour, then dip in a beaten egg mixture, and finally coat in breadcrumbs. Then shallow fry them in a little canola oil to make mini schnitzels. You could serve this with pasta, or perhaps some boiled rice and sweet chilli sauce. Meat and Cheese Lunch I have this already on the

page but it's worth repeating here. This is a variation on a Ploughman's Lunch where you cut the leftover steak into chunks or slices and serve with some cheddar cheese (or whatever cheese you like), fresh crusty bread and some fruit like apple, grapes or dried apricots. I find it better to heat the meat first to make it juicier and taste better (just wrap in tin foil and heat in a conventional oven for about 10 minutes at 180° Celsius / 350° Fahrenheit / Gas Mark 4 / Moderate oven.) You can have the bread plain, or with butter, or (as I like it) with some chutney spread on it. The important thing is to have nice fresh crusty bread. I hope you find these ideas useful.
